I am an Immigrant, born in Mexico, and came to this country at the age of 14. I am the oldest of 14 children and I am the first child to graduate with a Master's Degree. I know what it is like to struggle, and I know what it takes to succeed.
Compton is a "Hub City," located in the middle of the central metropolitan of Los Angeles and comprises over 90% of people of color, 70% Latinos, and 28% African Americans. It is a city with a robust, dynamic, and prosperous future.
I have been working for over 40 years in various social services and leadership positions. I am a business owner, entrepreneur, life coach, business coach, and chaplain who works with crime survivors. As Mayor, I will develop strategies to bring Hope, Education, technology, Health, and Unification to our community.
Many technology firms would like to hire more people of color, but they don’t know where to find them. We have them in our City, we just need to represent them. If elected, my goal is to expand opportunities for our children, youth, and women of color and to inspire supporters to bring about change and I will look for these resources and programs to increase technology, arts, and cultural affairs.
Once elected, I will expand opportunities and inspire supporters to pledge for fundamental growth, development, and leadership. Together we will bring tangible services and programs for us to experience a good quality of life, personal freedom, health, and safety. This is what HOPE IS...
